There’s something timeless about a good guac. It's even better when the recipe is pared down, foolproof and guaranteed to please a crowd.
Ready to make something that’s equally effortless and tasty? This 3-ingredient guacamole brings the flavor without the fuss. Let’s get into it!
2 ripe avocados Juice of 1 lime 1/2 tsp garlic salt
If they’re perfectly ripe, they’ll mash like butter. If not, you'll want to give them a day to sit on the counter. Not sure if they’re ready? Give them a gentle squeeze. Ripe avocados will give in slightly without feeling mushy.
Lime will add a bit of zest to your dish, while garlic salt kicks up the flavor. You can start small with the garlic salt and add more as you go.
Use a fork for a chunky dip or a whisk for a silkier finish; it's your call. Either way, the end result is creamy guacamole in minutes.
Serve with tortilla chips or fresh veggies. You can also add it to your lunch spread.
If you're prepping in advance, place a lime wedge or plastic wrap directly on the guac to keep it from browning.
Serve it in a small bowl nestled inside a larger dish of crushed ice to keep it cool during a party. Or turn it into a snack board centerpiece by pairing it with sliced radishes, mini bell peppers and chips.
Feeling fancy? Add diced tomato, red onion or jalapeño for extra flavor. Folding in cream cheese or grated cheddar cheese can also help add a creamier texture.
