Making a delicious mac and cheese with only three ingredients is simpler than you might think!
For this recipe you will need pasta (feel free to use any but we recommend elbow pasta), milk and cheese.
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to the package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes until al dente.
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it well in a colander. Be sure to shake off any excess water to avoid a watery mac and cheese.
Return the drained pasta to the same pot without heat to make sure it stays warm and ready for the next steps.
Pour 1 1/2 cup of milk into the pot with the pasta. Stir gently to combine, making sure all the pasta is coated with milk.
Gradually stir in 1 cup of shredded cheese continuously until it begins to melt and combine with the milk, forming a creamy sauce.
Once the first batch of cheese has melted, add a second cup. Continue to stir gently, ensuring the cheese melts evenly and fully incorporates.
Keep stirring the mixture until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy. This should take about 2 - 3 minutes.
Once you’ve achieved the perfect creamy texture, it’s time to serve! Spoon the mac and cheese into bowls and enjoy the simple, cheesy goodness.
Enjoy!
