Snickers and salad don’t usually go together but they do to create this delicious dessert. All you need is three ingredients to quickly put together a light and tasty treat that you can serve to anyone.
Here's a simple 3-ingredient apple snicker salad recipe, plus some ideas for substitutions and tips for proper storage.
4 Granny Smith apples (chopped) 4 Snickers bars (chopped) 1 container (8 oz) Cool Whip
Chop the apples and Snickers bars into bite-sized pieces.
In a large bowl, mix the apples and Snickers into the Cool Whip until well combined.
Serve immediately or chill for about 30 minutes before serving for a refreshingly cool dessert.
Try tossing the chopped apples in a little lemon juice to slow browning if you are making it ahead of time.
You can substitute granny smith with your favorite kind of apple, or experiment with an assortment. Additionally, you can use a different kind of chocolate candy or add caramel drizzle.
Store the salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This will allow it to stay fresh for up to two days.
Freezing is not recommended as the apples will become mushy and the Cool Whip texture may change.
For best results, enjoy fresh or within the first 24 hours. It will become more watery the longer it sits in the fridge.
