These cookies are perfect for when you’re short on time but still want a tasty homemade treat.
For this recipe, you'll need sugar cookie dough (store-bought or homemade), ground cinnamon and granulated sugar to coat the cookies with a sweet, crispy outer layer.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures your cookies bake evenly and come out perfectly crisp on the outside yet soft on the inside.
In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of cinnamon with 1/4 cup of granulated sugar.
Take your sugar cookie dough and roll it into 1-inch balls. You can make them larger or smaller depending on how many cookies you'd like to bake.
Roll each dough ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, making sure each one is fully coated for that perfect sweet and spiced outer layer.
Arrange the coated dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each one.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. The cookies should be slightly golden around the edges but soft in the center.
Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking rack for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once the cookies are cool, they’re ready to serve! These snickerdoodles are perfectly chewy with a crisp cinnamon-sugar coating.
That’s it! In just a few simple steps, you have a batch of delicious snickerdoodles with only three ingredients.
