Making banana bread with just four ingredients is simple, quick and delicious. This recipe is perfect for beginners and requires minimal preparation.
Before starting, ensure your workspace is clean. Gather all the ingredients and necessary tools: a mixing bowl, a fork or potato masher, a spatula, etc.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures the oven is at the right temperature when you’re ready to bake.
Peel the ripe bananas and place them in a mixing bowl. Use a fork or potato masher to mash them until they are smooth with minimal lumps.
Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the mashed bananas. Stir well until fully incorporated into the banana mixture.
Pour 1/2 cup of melted butter into the banana-sugar mixture. Stir until the butter is completely mixed in, creating a smooth batter.
Gradually add 2 cups of self-rising flour to the mixture. Stir gently with a spatula until all the flour is combined and you have a thick batter. Avoid over-mixing.
Pour the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula to ensure a uniform shape.
Smooth the top of the batter with the spatula to create an even surface. This helps the bread bake evenly.
Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once done, remove the loaf pan from the oven. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
After the bread has cooled, slice it and enjoy! This 4-ingredient banana bread is perfect for breakfast, a snack or dessert.
Happy baking!
