This festive twist on a classic snack platter uses red, white and blue ingredients to create a patriotic centerpiece that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.
You'll need: - 1/2 cup blueberries - 1/4 cup blackberries (optional) - Star-shaped white cheese slices (like mozzarella or white cheddar)
You'll need: - Sliced strawberries - Raspberries - Red grapes - Sliced salami or prosciutto
You'll need: - Cubed white cheddar or mozzarella - White chocolate-covered pretzels - Sliced turkey or chicken - Water crackers or pita chips
- Honey or fig jam - Almonds or cashews - Fresh herbs for garnish (like rosemary sprigs)
Start with a large rectangular board or platter to mimic the shape of the flag.
Create the “blue” corner by filling the top left section with blueberries and blackberries. Place your cheese slices on top or around it for the stars.
Build stripes across the board using alternating rows of red and white ingredients. Try to keep the stripes straight and even to resemble the flag.
Fill in any gaps with smaller items like crackers, grapes or nuts. Add dips, spreads or garnishes if using. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
