An apple cider margarita is a spin on the classic cocktail with the warmth of some of autumn’s signature flavors like tangy apples and cinnamon.
Here's a recipe for an Apple Cider Margarita that is perfectly in season.
2 oz tequila (specifically Silver/Blanco tequila) 1 oz triple sec (or orange liqueur like Cointreau) 2 oz fresh apple cider
1 oz fresh lime juice 1 tsp maple syrup (optional) Ice cubes Cinnamon sugar (and salt if desired)
Apple slice Cinnamon stick Lime wedge
Mix equal parts cinnamon and sugar (you can also add a dash of salt) on a small plate.
Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip the rim in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Set the glass aside.
In a cocktail shaker, add tequila, triple sec, apple cider, lime juice and maple syrup (if using).
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Strain the margarita into your prepared glass filled with ice. Garnish with apple slices, a cinnamon stick or a lime wedge if desired.
Enjoy your cozy and tangy Apple Cider Margarita.
