Make Perfect Copycat Cinnabon Rolls at Home

The Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll is a legendary treat that has become synonymous with indulgence. It's known for its irresistibly soft, fluffy dough, rich cinnamon-sugar swirl and signature cream cheese frosting.

This homemade Cinnabon-inspired recipe brings all the flavors you love into your very own oven. It's perfect for breakfast, brunch or any time you’re craving a sweet, warm treat!

1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C) 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast  1/2 cup melted unsalted butter 1 tsp salt 2 large eggs 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Ingredients For Dough

1 cup packed brown sugar 2 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

Ingredients For Filling

4 oz cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened 1 cup powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Pinch of salt

Ingredients For Frosting

In a large bowl, combine warm milk and granulated sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes or until it becomes foamy. Gradually add the flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing until the dough starts to come together.

Once a rough dough forms, knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes (until smooth and elastic). Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover with a clean kitchen towel. Let rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll the dough into a rectangle, approximately 16x12 inches. Spread the softened butter over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Evenly sprinkle the filling over the buttered dough. Starting from one of the long sides, carefully roll the dough up tightly into a log. Cut the rolled dough into 12 even slices. Place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan.

Cover the pan with a towel and let the rolls rise for about 30 minutes or until puffed and slightly increased in size. In the meantime, preheat your oven to 350°F.

Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown on top and cooked through.

While the rolls are baking, make the cream cheese icing by combining the softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and salt in a medium bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy.

Once the rolls are baked, remove them from the oven and immediately spread the cream cheese icing generously over the warm rolls. Serve immediately and enjoy the gooey, cinnamon-sugar goodness!
