Finding your favorite drink (or at least the next one you want to try your hand at making) can be hard. There’s no shortage of cocktails out there for every letter of the alphabet!
Use that to your advantage to sift through cocktails without having to choose between every single one. Start here with the many delicious drinks that start with P.
Make a classic, tropical Piña Colada with 2 oz white rum, 1 oz coconut cream, 1 oz heavy cream (optional), 6 oz fresh pineapple juice, pineapple slices and maraschino cherry (for garnish) and ice.
A Paloma is a Mexican cocktail made of 2 oz tequila, 1/2 oz lime juice and 4 oz grapefruit soda (or fresh grapefruit juice and soda water), with salt for the rim and a lime wedge (for garnish).
This British cocktail is made with 2 oz Pimm’s No. 1 liqueur, lemonade (or lemon-lime soda), cucumber slices, strawberries, orange and mint leaves (for garnish) and ice.
A Painkiller cocktail starts with P and is very similar to the Piña Colada. It’s made of 2 oz dark rum, 4 oz pineapple juice, 1 oz coconut cream, 1 oz orange juice and nutmeg (for garnish).
This is a fruity party drink typically made in large batches. Ingredients include dark rum, white rum, lime juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, a dash of grenadine (optional) and fruit for garnish.
This cocktail is a creamy, minty dessert cocktail meant to taste like a peppermint patty candy. It’s made with 1 oz peppermint schnapps, 1 oz crème de cacao, 1 oz cream and ice.
A Pisco Sour is a classic South American cocktail with a frothy egg white top. Ingredients include 2 oz Pisco, 1 oz lime juice, 3/4 oz simple syrup, 1 egg white, angostura bitters (for garnish) and ice.
Planter’s Punch is a fruity, spiced rum punch made with 1 1/2 oz dark rum, 3/4 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz simple syrup, 1 dash Angostura bitters and ice. It’s tangy, sweet and has a tropical vibe.
Purple Haze cocktails are made in a variety of ways. You’ll typically find recipes that call for 1 oz vodka, 1 oz raspberry liqueur (sometimes blue Curaçao as well) and a splash of cranberry juice.
This luxurious cocktail is served with champagne on the side and includes 1.5 oz vanilla vodka, 1/2 oz passion fruit liqueur, 1 oz passion fruit purée, 1/2 oz lime juice and half a passion fruit (for garnish).
