Making a delicious Sloppy Joe with just three ingredients is simple and quick. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process, ensuring a tasty meal with minimal effort.
To make a 3-ingredient Sloppy Joe, you'll need ground beef, a can of sloppy joe sauce and hamburger buns. Ensure you have these items before you start.
Place your skillet on the stove over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef to the skillet and use the spatula to break it apart.
Cook and stir the ground beef then let it simmer until it is browned, which should take about 5-7 minutes.
Open the can of sloppy joe sauce and pour it into the skillet with the browned ground beef. Stir well to combine the sauce and beef evenly.
Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly.
While the mixture simmers, prepare your hamburger buns. You can toast them lightly in a toaster or on a griddle for added texture and flavor.
After 10 minutes, check the consistency of the mixture. It should be thick but still saucy enough to be spooned onto the buns.
Using a large spoon, scoop the beef mixture onto the bottom halves of the hamburger buns. Be generous with the filling for a hearty sandwich.
Serve the Sloppy Joes immediately while they are hot. They pair well with a side of fries, a salad or any of your favorite side dishes.
Enjoy your cooking!
