Delicious High-Fiber Drinks

Fiber is a crucial nutrient for digestive health, weight management, heart health and disease prevention. Here are some delicious high-fiber drinks that are good for you and still delicious.

1 cup spinach or kale (2 grams of fiber), 1 banana (3 grams of fiber), 1/2 apple, chopped (2.5 grams of fiber), 1 tablespoon chia seeds (5 grams of fiber), 1 cup almond milk or water and Ice cubes (optional).

Green Smoothie with Chia Seeds

Add spinach, banana, apple and chia seeds to a blender. Pour in almond milk or water. Blend until smooth, adding ice if desired.

1/2 cup rolled oats (4g of fiber), 1/2 cup blueberries (4g of fiber), 1/2 cup strawberries (2g of fiber), 1 tablespoon flax seeds (3g of fiber), 1 cup Greek yogurt (optional) and 1 cup water or almond milk.

Blend the oats, berries, flaxseeds, and liquid until smooth. Add Greek yogurt for extra creaminess, if desired.

2 apples, chopped (8 grams of fiber), 2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped (4 grams of fiber),  1-inch piece of ginger, 1 cup water or orange juice.

Blend apples, carrots, ginger and water until smooth. Strain if you prefer a thinner consistency, though keeping the pulp adds more fiber.

1 cup brewed green tea (chilled), 1/2 orange, juiced (1.5 grams of fiber), 1 tablespoon psyllium husk powder (5 grams of fiber), 1 teaspoon honey or stevia (optional).

Brew and chill the green tea. Mix orange juice and psyllium husk into the tea. Stir well and let it sit for a few minutes before drinking. )

Soak the almonds and dates in water for 4-6 hours (optional for easier blending). Blend all the ingredients until smooth. )
