Make Delicious IHOP Pancakes at Home

IHOP pancakes are a staple on the restaurant chain's menu, drawing in crowds across the country. They are known for being fluffy, sweet and buttery, creating the perfect breakfast experience.

This recipe will leave you smiling. It's perfect for starting your day, a late brunch or even breakfast for dinner.

1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder and soda 1/8 tsp salt 1 large egg beaten 1 1/4 cups milk 2 tbsp salted butter melted 3 tbsp sugar

Ingredients

Combine all of your ingredients in their respective measurements in a large bowl. Start with dry, then slowly add in your wet ingredients while mixing.

If you are a fan of fun treats in your pancakes, be sure to add your mix-ins to the batter. This can be chocolate chips or blueberries, for example.

Heat a griddle or nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Grease with cooking spray or butter, then drop 1/4 cup batter on the pan. Spread it into a 5-inch circle.

Cook until bubbles begin to form on the surface and the edges begin to brown. Gently flip and allow them to brown on the other side.

To flip your pancake, it is best to use a spatula. You don't want your hard work to end up on the kitchen floor instead of in the pan!

Add toppings to your pancakes to recreate your favorite IHOP flavor. Maybe even try to make it look like a smiley face, Mickey Mouse or the sun. Have fun with your food!

Last but not least is the syrup of your choice. Some people use maple syrup, but you can also use strawberry, chocolate or blueberry to complete your creation.
