If you somehow find yourself with leftover steak, don’t just throw the meat away. Try one of these quick leftover steak recipes to create completely different dishes.
Slice the steak thinly and warm it up in a skillet with taco seasoning. Serve in tortillas with your favorite toppings, like salsa, guacamole, sour cream and cilantro.
Sauté onions and bell peppers, then toss in the sliced steak at the end. Serve with tortillas, salsa and sour cream.
Layer the steak on a crusty roll or bread with melted cheese, sautéed onions and a sauce like mayo, mustard or horseradish.
Reheat the steak and serve it alongside fried or scrambled eggs for a hearty breakfast. Add some toast or breakfast potatoes for a classic steak and eggs dish.
Dice the steak and add it to a stir-fry with cooked rice, vegetables (like peas, carrots and green onions), soy sauce and scrambled eggs. This is a great way to repurpose smaller pieces of steak.
