How To Make A Lemon Drop, Your New Favorite Summer Drink

Need a guide on how to make the quintessential lemon drop summer cocktail? We'll be walking you through the steps to create this refreshing citrus beverage you'll love.

What Are The Ingredients?

To make this infamous drink, you'll need lemon vodka, triple sec, simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, sugar for rimming the glass and a lemon twist for garnish.

What Will You Need?

For this recipe, you'll need a cocktail shaker, jigger or measuring cup, citrus juicer, cocktail strainer, small plate for sugar and lastly, a cocktail glass.

Pick Your Glass

You can serve your cocktail with any glass, simply pick your favorite. We recommend placing it in the fridge for a few hours before making the cocktail so that it's chilled.

Rim The Glass

Run a lemon wedge around the edge of the opening of the glass to wet it before placing it upside down in a plate of sugar. The lemon juice on the rim should help it stick to the glass.

Grab Your Cocktail Shaker

Grab your cocktail shaker and pour in about a cup of ice inside. This helps make your drink cool when it's finished mixing.

2 Ounces of Vodka

Choose your favorite vodka-- it can be any brand or citrus flavor of your choice. Once chosen, pour 2 ounces of vodka into the cocktail shaker.

1/2 Ounce of Triple sec

Next, grab 1/2 an ounce of triple sec, an orange-flavored liquor that's perfect for this recipe, and pour it into the shaker as well.

1 Ounce of Lemon Juice

Take a lemon strainer and pour out about one ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice into the shaker to add to the citrus taste.

 1/2 Ounce of  Simple Syrup

Lastly, you're going to take roughly half an ounce, depending on the sweetness level you want, of any kind of simple syrup and pour it into the shaker.

Shake & Pour

Once all the ingredients are inside the shaker just close the top, shake for about a minute and pour into your chilled and sugar rimmed cocktail glass.

Garnish & Enjoy

Now you have a delicious and refreshing drink to enjoy this summer. You can also add a couple of mint leaves or a lemon twist to add some garnish and flair to your drink.

Enjoy! And remember to enjoy the cocktail responsibly and share the experience with friends 21 and older.
