The Paper Plane cocktail is a modern classic that gained popularity in the craft cocktail scene and is still loved today.
Created by bartender Sam Ross, it features equal parts bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
With just a few simple and easy steps that we've listed for you, you will learn how to make this drink in no time.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Using chilled ingredients and ice ensures a cold and refreshing cocktail.
Pour 3/4 ounce (22.5 ml) each of bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and freshly squeezed lemon juice into the cocktail shaker.
Securely close the cocktail shaker and vigorously shake the mixture for about 10-15 seconds. This helps blend the flavors and chill the ingredients.
Select a coupe glass or a rocks glass for serving. You can also chill the glass by placing it in the freezer for a few minutes prior to serving.
Using a Hawthorne strainer or a fine mesh strainer, carefully strain the shaken mixture into the chilled glass.
If desired, garnish the cocktail with a lemon twist. Simply twist a strip of lemon peel over the drink or add a tiny paper plane.
Now you have a delicious and well-balanced drink that everyone will love. Feel free to sit back, relax and enjoy your Paper Plane Cocktail.
Feel free to make another round and enjoy the convivial atmosphere that great cocktails help foster.
