All you need is freshly fallen snow and a few simple ingredients. Perfect for cold weather, it’s a fun and tasty way to embrace the season.
Fresh snow is generally safe to eat if it’s clean, white and hasn't been on the ground for long. Avoid snow near roads, industrial areas or that has changed color.
8 cups of fresh, clean snow 1 cup of milk (or a dairy-free alternative) 1/3 cup of sugar 1 Tsp of vanilla extract Toppings of your choice
In a mixing bowl, combine milk, sugar and vanilla extract. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. This will be the base for your snow cream.
Gradually fold the snow into the milk mixture. Stir gently until the texture is creamy and fluffy. Pro tip: work quickly to prevent the snow from melting!
Time to get creative! Add toppings like sprinkles, chocolate chips or fruit. For a fun twist, drizzle caramel or strawberry syrup over your snow cream.
Serve your snow cream immediately in small bowls or cups. For extra flair, garnish with whipped cream or edible glitter.
Snow cream is best enjoyed fresh. If you have leftovers, freeze them, but note that the texture may change. Always ensure snow is freshly collected for safety.
Chocolate snow cream: add 2 tbsp cocoa powder to the milk mixture. Lemon snow cream: replace vanilla with lemon juice for a tangy twist.
