Simple & Sweet 3-Ingredient Sugar Cookies

Who says delicious cookies have to be complicated? With just three simple ingredients, you can whip up a batch of buttery, sweet sugar cookies in no time.

No special tools, no hard-to-find ingredients — just simple, homemade goodness that’s as easy to make as it is to eat.

1 cup of all-purpose flour 1/2 cup of butter, softened 1/4 cup of sugar (plus extra for rolling)

Ingredients

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter and sugar. Use a spoon or your hands to mix until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the flour and stir until the dough comes together.

Scoop out small amounts of dough and roll them into balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.

Gently flatten each ball with the back of a spoon, then sprinkle a little extra sugar on top for that classic sugar cookie sparkle.

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

If you’re craving something a little sweeter, whip up a simple frosting to complement these sugar cookies. Just mix together 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 tbsp of milk and a splash of vanilla extract

Stir until smooth, and you’ll have a creamy, sweet topping that's perfect for spreading on your cookies. If you want a bit of color, just add a drop of food coloring!
