Watermelon is 90% water, making it incredibly hydrating and low in calories. Compared to traditional cakes it's a much lighter and healthier alternative.
It’s packed with vitamins A and C, antioxidants and fiber. These help support digestion, skin health and overall wellness.
Cut both ends off the watermelon to create flat surfaces. Stand it upright and carefully slice away the rind, leaving only the core. Shape it into a smooth, round “cake” base.
Use a paper towel to pat the watermelon dry. This step ensures any toppings or cream you apply will adhere to the surface and won’t slide off due to moisture.
If you'd like a whipped topping, spread a thin layer of whipped cream or coconut cream around the watermelon.
Top your watermelon cake with fresh berries like strawberries, blueberries or raspberries.
Once chilled, slice the watermelon cake just like you would with any other cake. Enjoy this refreshing, naturally sweet dessert.
