Confession: I am fully obsessed with Bravo’s Real Housewives of Potomac. The shade, the one-liners and the way a casual lunch or dinner can turn into a full event make it appointment viewing for me. So when I realized I had the chance to eat at a spot the ladies visited on the show, I did not hesitate.
In Episode 8, Gizelle Bryant, Tia Glover, Ashley Darby, and Keiarna Stewart pulled up to Sixty Vines DC, and Ashley said the line that lived in my head for days: “This place is huge.” She was not exaggerating. The space is genuinely sprawling, and it immediately reads as a place made for long catch-ups, big groups and those “one more drink” nights that turn into a whole thing.
Sixty Vines, online in context, is dubbed a wine bar and even teases a “tappy hour,” but our server, Nijean, framed it best: a simple spot where you can enjoy an array of wines without the fuss. Their tagline is “we bring wine country to the city,” and the modern bohemian-chic decor delivers exactly that. In the episode, the ladies stuck to cocktails and mussels, but my friend and I came ready to dine, and we absolutely did.
First Impressions and the Vibe
Sixty Vines leans hard into its tagline, “we bring wine country to the city,” and it works. The look is modern and bohemian-chic, with an elevated-but-relaxed feel that makes it easy to dress up or keep it casual.
The layout is massive, so the energy stays lively without feeling cramped. It is the kind of room that naturally fits a birthday dinner, a double date, or a group that does not want the night to end at the first round.

Our Server Set the Tone
Nijean guided us through the wine list and the overall vibe like a pro, which is exactly what you want in a place with a lot of options. It felt welcoming, not intimidating.
We kicked things off with cabernet to wake up the palate while we scoped the menu, and it was the right move for settling in and ordering strategically.

What We Ordered: Appetizers
We started with a run of appetizers because the menu basically dares you to over-order. We went for the charcuterie board, fried chicken and caviar, albondigas (Spanish meatballs), and crispy zucchini.
It was the kind of spread that makes the table feel instantly festive and gives everyone something to pick at while you decide whether you are being “reasonable” with the mains (spoiler: we were not).
Portions were more than fair, especially for a place that could easily coast on vibes alone. The fried chicken and the crispy zucchini were the standouts on size and satisfaction. We actually had leftovers, which rarely happens when I am in full foodie mode. If you are ordering for a smaller group, keep that in mind and pace the apps accordingly.
What We Ordered: Main Courses

For mains, I went with the Braised Pork Pappardelle (pork shoulder, fennel, San Marzano tomato, basil, pecorino romano). It had that cozy, slow-cooked depth that makes you take a pause between bites.

We also shared the Creste di Gallo (roasted chicken, mushrooms, spinach, oven-dried tomato, pesto cream), and my friend ordered the Angus strip. Between the pasta and the steak, it felt like we covered both comfort and classic dinner-out cravings.
The Food Recap
Needless to say every dish was amazing. The apps came in like a reunion episode back-to-back with no filler, and by the time the mains hit the table, we were already doing that “we should have paced ourselves” laugh. If you like comfort food energy with a polished finish, this menu understands the assignment.
We were so stuffed we did not have room for dessert, but the team insisted we could not leave without their infamous frosé cocktails. They did not disappoint. It was the perfect icy, fruity finale and the kind of drink that makes you start planning your next visit before you even close the tab.
