Black art has been notoriously difficult to find. While there are tons of talented artists all around the globe, their work is often underrepresented in museums and galleries. However, if there’s one thing Black artists have in common, it is their resilience. Despite the inequities in the art world, Black art thrives and has never been more accessible than it is today. Through platforms like TikTok and Instagram, Black visual artists are sharing their work and creative initiatives with millions of people.
From paintings to photography, flowers, pottery, and graphic design, the landscape of Black art is diverse and vast. The community of visual artists is growing online, and today, we couldn’t be more thrilled to say that finding Black art is becoming easier by the day. Below, we’ve gathered 12 unique artists spanning different mediums such as painting, fashion, sculpting, and more.
