Don’t throw out those apples because they are mushy, not sweet enough or you do not know what to cook/bake with them. Here are a variety of Red Delicious apple recipes you can try.
2 thinly sliced Red Delicious apples 4 cups mixed greens 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese 1/4 cup dried cranberries 1/4 cup candied pecans 3 tbsp balsamic vinaigrette
Arrange mixed greens on a plate. Top with apple slices, feta, cranberries and pecans. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette and serve immediately.
2 Red Delicious apples 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Thinly slice apples and arrange on a lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and bake for 1-2 hours, flipping halfway through, until crispy.
4 peeled and sliced Red Delicious apples 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup rolled oats 1/4 cup flour 1/4 cup softened butter 1 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place apple slices in a greased baking dish. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, oats, flour, butter and cinnamon to form a crumbly topping.
Spread topping over apples. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden.
