When it comes to comfort food, few dishes are as satisfying as a bowl of pasta. But you don’t need to spend hours in the kitchen to create a delicious meal.
Simple pasta recipes are perfect for busy weeknights or lazy weekends. We've gathered some pasta recipes that are both quick and delicious, so you can enjoy a satisfying dish without the hassle.
8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine) 4 tablespoons butter 3-4 garlic cloves, minced 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Salt and pepper, to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain the pasta but reserve some of the water. Melt butter in a pan on medium heat and add garlic. Cook until fragrant (roughly one minute).
Add your pasta to the butter along with a bit of the reserved pasta water. Stir in the cheese and season with salt, pepper and parsley if using.
8 ounces spaghetti 3 tablespoons olive oil 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes Salt, to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (optional) Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Cook pasta according to package instructions, reserving a bit of pasta water. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large pan. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and saute until the garlic is golden in color.
Toss the spaghetti into the pan along with some of the reserved pasta water. Season with salt. pepper and parsley if using. Top it off with a bit of parmesan cheese and your dish is complete!
8 ounces pasta (penne or spaghetti) 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 bell pepper, sliced 1 zucchini, sliced 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
2 garlic cloves, minced Salt and pepper, to taste Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional) Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Cook pasta and reserve some pasta water. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add in peppers, zucchini and garlic. Sauté until vegetables have softened. Add the tomatoes and cook for another two minutes.
Add the pasta to the pan, along with the reserved pasta water. Season with salt, pepper, parmesan cheese to finish it off.
