Formerly of the Chicago Bulls, from 1987 to 1998 and returning in 2004, Scottie Pippen achieved much success and wealth as a six-time championship basketball player. Inducted into the 2010 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, the retired baller has been away from the game for many years. He was, however, recently interviewed about playing alongside Michael Jordan, which was featured in Netflix’s sports television documentary miniseries The Last Dance. Although Pippen and his wife filed for divorce in 2016, the couple finalized their divorce a year after the Netflix special aired. Details around his marriage, and recent tweets pondering on what it would’ve been like to play ball with Elon Musk, have stirred even greater curiosity around his retirement life. Post-divorce and with Twitter time on his hands, where is Pippen living now?
Where Did the Chicago Bulls Champion Live When He Returned To the Team?
In 2004, Pippen and his then wife, Larsa, purchased a nearly 14,000-square-foot mansion in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Florida home was a three-story living space with six bedrooms, multiple lounging areas, a gym, movie theater and waterfront basketball court. There was also a swimming pool and personal docking area. Pippen sold this property in 2021, following his divorce, for $10.5 million.
He has also owned a 10,000-square-foot vacation house in Highland Park, Illinois, which he sold for $1.8 million. The home was characterized by high ceilings, a movie theater, an indoor basketball court, a large kitchen, outdoor patio and a swimming pool. After selling both properties, Pippen has relocated to Los Angeles where he lives now. Here’s what we know about his California abode.
Where Is He Now? Life After Basketball
Pippen lives in Los Angeles, according to multiple reports. However, he has not disclosed any details about where exactly in the city he lives nor the style of his home. The retired baller has achieved a net worth of $20 million, allowing one to guess that Pippen’s new home resembles the luxury of his formerly owned properties.
