The sidewalks of London are no stranger to head-turning designer looks. Twice a year, the city becomes the hub of the UK, bringing out stylish trendsetters for London Fashion Week. However, London’s interior design world is just as fashion-forward, ever-evolving, and embracing the traditional charm of the city. At the heart of it all is architecture and interiors studio De Rosee Sa,  which was recently appointed as the interior designers of one of  60 Curzon’s exquisite 32 boutique residences. Their latest release, a striking duplex home residing in the heart of London’s prestigious Mayfair District, is causing a stir within the industry for all the right reasons.

In a recent press release, Charles Leigh, the director of 60 Curzon, noted that this duplex apartment was designed to stand out with its rare combination of soaring double-height ceilings and 1,185 sq. ft. of leafy outdoor space. “It delivers a sense of grandeur and openness and showcases De Rosee Sa’s ability to capture the spirit of Mayfair—timeless yet evolving—resulting in a home that is as refined as it is welcoming,” he said.

If you’ve had the opportunity to visit Mayfair, you know all about the district’s luxe history. Located in central London, between Oxford Street, Regent Street, and Park Lane, it’s one of the most expensive and exclusive areas in the city. Mayfair alone has its prestige, thanks to restaurants such as Mirabelle, which is an icon in its own right. The restaurant was known for its distinguishable crowd of guests, including Elizabeth Taylor and Winston Churchill, and had a stylish interior to match. Coincidentally, the duplex delivers the same glamorous feel and is designed with impeccable style at the forefront. “We were inspired by places like Mirabelle—not just for their beauty, but for their ambiance. We wanted to evoke that same immersive experience, where every detail contributes to a feeling, not just a look. The design strikes a balance between contemporary and classic, with interiors that feel as though they’ve been lovingly curated over time,” says Claire Sá, co-founder of De Rosee Sa.

The mood, where theatrical flair meets English classicism, was conceptualized by famed interior designer Thierry W. Despont, who designed the interior architecture of the building’s communal spaces and two other apartments in the building. His work can also be found throughout prominent city landmarks such as Claridge’s London, the Ritz Paris, and The Carlyle Hotel New York. For 60 Curzon’s newest residence, De Rosee Sa leaned into the building’s design narrative. With texture and elements of mid-century decor, they transformed the 4,550 sq. ft. space into a dreamy home. Upon walking into the elegantly designed entrance, you can immediately get the sense of refined luxury through vintage influences, such as the Robin Myerscough bronze console table and antiqued mirror that adorn the hallway. But there’s also a nod to modern architectural structures, which balance the vintage style.

The kitchen brings the traditional English craftsmanship into focus through a modern lens. Pendant lights hang above the white marble countertops, bringing in texture and adding contrast to the sage green painted walls. The combination creates a rich display inspired by English woodland gardens while offering a chic and modern feel. Inside the adjoining media room sits a custom-designed U-shaped sofa in a soft, dusty pink hue. The muted color is the perfect focal point for the room and provides a touching contrast between a walnut veneer shelving unit and a gorgeous 1950s brass Sputnik chandelier. The result is a room that’s cozy yet vibrant and full of life.

Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms with just as thoughtful interiors as the downstairs portion of the home. However, each has its own personal touches. The main suite includes a chic velvet daybed with custom wardrobe doors, serene lime-washed walls, and a curated selection of artwork. The outdoor grounds also offer a peaceful and scenic setting. As one of the three residences at 60 Curzon with access to the communal garden, it has its own slice of peace built into the property. The landscape was crafted by Gustafson and Porter + Bowman, who aimed to make this green plot an oasis for the residents.

Though this location marks a new feather in the cap of 60 Curzon, De Rosee Sa is no stranger to chic and elegant decor. “For us, it’s about more than just aesthetics. It’s about crafting an environment that feels authentic, layered, and adaptable to modern life,” says Sá.
