Just because you live near the ocean doesn’t mean you have to stick to a coastal theme. For interior designer Eve Jean, bold colors, bold artwork and bold design details are how she made this house feel like a home. From details like wallpaper on the ceiling to a Virgil Abloh rug, each and every corner screams luxury and high-end design.
Location: East Rockaway, New York
Budget: $40,000
Beds/Baths: 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths
The real star of the show is the entire room dedicated to a walk-in closet—featuring an unbelievable sneaker collection boasting nearly 100 pairs of shoes (99 to be exact). Aside from the closet, the dining area is a vision of contemporary, modern design. With clean lines and chic accent pieces, the end result is a space that exudes style and thoughtful design. (And it’s safe to say we’re obsessed with the green velvet dining chairs.)
How To Steal This Look
Where did you purchase the majority of the furniture and decor in this space?
Wayfair, CB2 and Anthropologie. (Our favorites!)
What’s your best advice for helping others achieve a look like yours?
Find the style that defines you. Make a mood board setting up your preferences and moods and colors, or simply hire an interior designer.
What is one piece in this space you feel like you couldn’t live without?
The dining area and sneaker room. (Naturally.)
What are your signature design elements or personal touches that make your space uniquely yours?
The bold use of colors, the bold artwork and the details in the design.
This home proves wallpaper doesn’t only belong on walls. What’s your favorite part of this East Rockaway home? Are there any elements you’re dying to add to your own home?
