If you live for homemade recipes and constantly find yourself scrolling on TikTok, then you’ve probably heard of Nara Smith. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Nara Smith’s craft, she’s basically the queen of homemade recipes. She’s known for making entire meals for her and her family from scratch, including things like gum, cereal, bread, ice cream and more.
The 22-year-old model, chef and internet personality started to gain popularity in 2023 for her elaborate meals. Now, at over six million followers on TikTok and three million on Instagram, Nara Smith has captivated her audience, showcasing what it’s like to cook meals from scratch.
Married to model, Lucky Blue Smith, the couple just welcomed their newborn baby just weeks ago, having a total of four kids. Giving viewers a glimpse of her inside life, Nara has shared details of her kids’ unique names, her religion and her struggles with eczema. We know all about the social media star’s recipes, but what about her personal life? Where is she from? Where does Nara Smith live now? Here’s what we know.
Where is Nara Smith From?
@naraazizasmith there’s soooo many more #grwm #chattygrwm
Nara Smith was born on September 27, 2001, to a South African mother and a German father. Born in South Africa, Nara’s parents relocated to Frankfurt, Germany when she was three months old. Growing up in Germany, she lived there until she was 18 years old, relocating to the States to pursue her modeling career. While a majority of her content is in English, she speaks both German and English and occasionally showcases her German culture through recipes.
Nara got her start in the modeling world at the age of 14, signing with IMG Models. After moving to California at 18, she continued her modeling career in the States, where she met her husband, Lucky. The couple got married in 2020 in California.
Where Does Nara Smith Live?
Nara Smith has lived in Germany and in Los Angeles, but where does the model and recipe-maker live now? For a while, fans speculated different places that Nara and her family might live in, including NYC, Utah, Los Angeles or somewhere in Europe. Of course, this speculation came from her gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing home and kitchen design. But, the answer is actually none of the above.
Earlier this year, Nara shot a day-in-the-life video of her Lucky going on a shopping spree at stores like Bottega and Louis Vuitton. Fans quickly saw that the video was shot at North Park Mall in Dallas, Texas, which Nara confirmed to be true. “She makes Dallas look like Scandinavia,” someone commented on a TikTok about where Smith lives. Of course, we take Nara’s word on where she lives, but another confirmation of her living in Dallas includes a post from Dallas-based braider @jerricaxo on TikTok, who did Nara’s braids before she gave birth to her third child.
While we don’t know much about the details of her home, we can tell that she’s a minimalist. In the background of her many cooking videos, we can see that the couple has Smeg appliances, cream cabinets, marble detailing, white countertops and a stainless steel range hood above the stove. Other rooms in the home seem to follow this aesthetic, with neutral bedding, white curtains, fluffy rugs and wooden stairs. In a TikTok, Nara shared that she moved to her home in November 2023.
