High above the bustling streets of Los Angeles, model Acacia McBride has created a sun-drenched sanctuary that perfectly balances luxury and minimalism. The Clark Atlanta University graduate, who made the cross-country journey from rural Mississippi to pursue her modeling career, now lives in a meticulously curated condo that serves as both home and creative space.

“My favorite thing about my home is how bright it is,” McBride says. “The way the natural light reflections off the light-colored furniture and decor is so refreshing to me.” This abundance of light is maximized by floor-to-ceiling sheer curtains that diffuse the sunshine, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere during the day.

And McBride’s design aesthetic shines through in her choice of statement furniture pieces, particularly the sculptural curved sectional sofa in pristine ivory that anchors her living room. The modular seating arrangement, complemented by a matching circular ottoman, creates an inviting conversation area while maintaining the space’s clean lines.

This modern 7-seat curved sectional sofa comes with a multi-use ottoman and matching pillows.

The apartment’s neutral palette extends beyond the living area, with thoughtful touches of gold accents in lighting fixtures and decorative objects adding subtle warmth. A sleek white dining table paired with brass-finished chairs demonstrates McBride’s knack for mixing materials while maintaining visual cohesion.

And, the thoughtful organization extends beyond her living spaces. McBride transformed the second bedroom of her condo into a sophisticated glam room, complete with a vanity and an IKEA PAX closet system featuring motion-censored lights. This custom storage solution displays her clothing, shoes, and jewelry, while accommodating a standing suitcase for easy access during frequent travels.

However, the most notable among the apartment’s four closets is what McBride calls her “hair closet,” a dedicated space that speaks to both her professional needs and personal journey. “I used to be ashamed, but I think it’s time for me to embrace it – I have a hair closet. My hair is my crown,” she shares. The carefully organized space houses an extensive collection of hair pieces, each meticulously hung on individual hangers, with some protected by dedicated garment bags, treating each piece with the same care as designer clothing.

For those aspiring to achieve a similar level of sophisticated minimalism, McBride offers practical advice: “Take notes of the things that you love. From that influencer’s closet to the curtains in your favorite hotels.” Her own space is a testament to careful curation, even though she feels like it’s still a work in progress.

“My space is a curation of the things – colors, textures, and scents – that make me happy,” McBride tells Home & Texture. This intentional approach is evident in every corner, from the artfully arranged dried pampas grass arrangements to the carefully selected coffee table accessories that add personality without cluttering the space.

The result is a home that feels both aspirational and deeply personal, proving that minimalism doesn’t have to feel cold or impersonal when executed with intention and care.
