Courtnee Futch has been making waves in the culinary world for years. Much more than a chef, she’s built a career around fellowship, community, and the beauty of sharing good food with good people. Her motto is simple: host like you want to be hosted — she clings to the hospitality rules of her Southern roots. Her newest venture, the Brown Butter Supper Club, follows in that same ethos. The first dinner of the series, named the Golden Solstice, is set to take place on June 21st and June 22nd in honor of Juneteenth and is sure to be a treat for all who attend.
The supper club concept brings people from all walks of life together to experience food in an intimate and immersive way. It’s about creating a special dining experience and lasting memory, not just a delicious bite. They encourage conversation and connections between guests as chefs serve up their best dishes. The concept isn’t new but has been lost in the world of big restaurants and fast-moving culinary concepts.
Cozy Vibes of a Communal Dinner
But Futch’s Brown Butter Supper Club is bringing the cozy vibes of a communal dinner back to Atlanta. The dinner is a five-course meal, including special desserts and cocktails, built around soulful recipes that celebrate liberation through flavor. The menu is a mix of chefy dishes and traditional Southern flavors. The main courses include spiced honey-glazed chicken, coffee-brown butter grilled steak, and blackened whitefish, each accompanied by its own sauce to enhance the flavors of the dish. Sides include a golden beet and peach salad, macaroni and cheese, charred salt and vinegar cabbage, and blistered green beans. The meal concludes with a decadent turmeric peach upside-down cake served with a delicious crème anglaise.
Given Futch’s mixologist background, guests get the same creative flair with the drink offerings. The event features three signature drinks: the Passionfruit Sweet Tea Spritz, the Strawberry Yuzu Margarita, and the Blackberry Jam Old Fashioned. The Golden Solstice isn’t Futch’s first rodeo when it comes to hosting a supper club. Creating beautiful and delicious dining experiences has always been a part of her culinary journey. From her college bakery to the catering company she launched in New York, the message has always been to connect communities through carefully orchestrated culinary celebrations. With the Golden Solstice, she aims to do just that. Things are just heating up, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
