Where Does Dak Prescott Live? The Quarterback's Home Looks Sorta Familiar

From college football with the Mississippi State Bulldogs to the NFL as a Dallas Cowboy, find out where Dak Prescott calls home.

In the fall of 2024, Rayne Dakota “Dak” Prescott made history as the highest-paid player in NFL history. He signed a four-year, $240 million contract (and $231 million guaranteed) with the Dallas Cowboys. The football player‘s deal also includes an $80 million signing bonus and extends until the 2028 season. Originally signed in 2016 to the Cowboys during the fourth-round draft, his contract was extended a second time in 2021, with a four-year, $160 million deal. With a career-high of 36 touchdown passes against nine interceptions and a throw record of 4,516 yards, he’s proven himself worthy of this healthy salary. Knowing he can afford to live wherever he wants, where does Dak Prescott live?

Where Does Dak Prescott Live?

While the former college football player for the Mississippi State Bulldogs could’ve packed up and found a new home, he clearly liked his old neighborhood in the Whispering Farms development of Power enough to build a new home in the same space. One month after his contract was renewed for a third time, he paid to have his 8,000-square-foot home torn down. With help from the comedy group Dude Perfect, he took photos next to the rubble as the house was demolished.

Originally purchased in 2019 for approximately $3 million, he added a tennis court and a turf football field to the home a year later. At the end zone, the word “Faith” has been painted along with a profile of Prescott pointing upward. (When his mother passed away of colorectal cancer in 2013, she left Prescott and his two brothers with three words: Faith, Fight, Finish.)

Obviously a man who loves multiple sports, he also has a small pond and added a golf green to his renovated home. He did admit he’s not very good, but with a golf course in his backyard, he knows he’ll have time to perfect his game.

What Does Prescott Do Outside of Sports?

The family man, who proposed to his girlfriend Sarah Jane last October, is also a humanitarian and a not-so-quiet activist. Through his foundation Faith Fight Finish, and in honor of his mother Peggy Prescott, he started a Stand Up To Cancer fundraiser. This fundraiser raises money for colorectal cancer research, along with the next “early career scientist” who will work with SU2C Colorectal Cancer Dream Team, to end the disease. His foundation also fights for mental health, inspired by one of his brothers and Peggy’s main caretaker, Jace, committing suicide in 2020.)

The biracial athlete (black father, white mother) also uses his foundations and his own platform to bring awareness to anti-racism, including speaking up in support of George Floyd protests; donating more than $1 million “to improve police training and address systematic racism through education and advocacy in our country”; and writing a letter to the governor of Oklahoma to release Julius Jones, who was given the death sentence for a murder in 1999. (In actress Viola Davis’ docu-series The Last Defense, Jones’ story is told. On November 19, 2021, Governor Stitt amended Julius Jones’ death sentence to life without the possibility of parole hours before his execution.)

What Is Prescott Like When He’s With Fans?

Prescott has a good time throwing the occasional piece of paraphernalia into the crowd when he sees a fan. It’s also not abnormal to see him reroute his way to the locker room to stop for photos with vets and active troops. Still, an argument can be made that his foundation Faith Fight Finish could add “Fido” on the end, judging from the way he stops to pose with his dogs: Bean, Atlas, Legend and Icon. Although Icon got into enough trouble to be banned from Frisco, Prescott managed to save his dog from euthanasia, allowed Icon to be in an AT&T commercial and be his nap buddy on an airplane.

From dog rescuer to police reform to cancer and mental health advocate, this is an NFL player who has made it clear that he will be known for more than a huge salary and a career on the football field.
