To accompany your delicious and hearty meals over the coming months, you might want to try our easy-to-make fall whiskey cocktails.
Cinnamon Maple Whiskey Sour
Put a twist on your traditional Whiskey Sour! Blogger Cookie and Kate first tried this recipe at a local bar and loved it so much she had to recreate it at home.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz bourbon of your choice
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 2-4 tsp maple syrup (to taste)
- Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
- Fill a cocktail shaker or mason jar ⅔ with ice.
- Pour in bourbon, lemon juice and maple syrup.
- Finish with an optional pinch of cinnamon.
- Secure the lid and shake well before straining and serving in a cocktail glass.
Apple Cider Whiskey Smash
A fruity fall whiskey cocktail recommended by Baked by Rachel is this Apple Cider Whiskey Smash. It’s the perfect accompaniment to your Thanksgiving dinner, and you might find yourself going back for seconds!
Ingredients:
- 1 oz whiskey
- ½ oz lemon juice
- 4 oz apple cider
Instructions:
- Add ice to a cocktail shaker.
- Mix in whiskey, lemon juice and apple cider.
- Shake until thoroughly chilled.
- Pour over ice and enjoy.
Hot Toddy
Besides being a delicious fall whiskey cocktail, a Hot Toddy’s warmth can help you recover from illness as the weather turns. They’re great for clearing out mucus and relieving your sinuses, plus the honey will soothe your aching throat.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz whiskey
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 oz boiling water
- ½ oz lemon juice
Instructions:
- Boil water then pour in a coffee cup..
- Add whiskey, honey and lemon juice then stir.
- Garnish with a lemon (optional).
