It’s no secret that French 75‘s have been the cocktail drink of choice in 2024, and the Holiday French 75 doubles down on this theory.

We noticed this recipe while scrolling through TikTok when creator Danica (@drinkswithdanica) took her rendition to the app, which contained gin, lemon juice, and cranberry syrup.  But of course, the Home & Texture team had to take it a step further and introduce our version of the Holiday French 75 recipe.

Home & Texture’s Holiday French 75 cleverly merges three classic drinks — the bitter-sweet notes and color of an Aperol Spritz, the bright citrus of mimosa with orange juice, and the blend of a French 75, resulting in a perfectly balanced, effervescent creation.

For entertaining purposes, this festive, refreshing cocktail can be prepared in advance. Simply combine 1 cup of fresh orange juice, 3/4 cup of your favorite gin, 1/2 cup of Aperol for that signature bitter-sweet taste, 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 1/2 cup of simple syrup in a large pitcher. Stir well to combine all ingredients. Chill the mixture until ready to serve.

Ingredients

• 1 oz gin
• ½ oz fresh lemon juice
• ½ oz fresh orange juice
• ½ oz Aperol
• ¼ oz simple syrup
• Prosecco or champagne to top
• Orange twist for garnish

Instructions

1. In a shaker, combine gin, lemon juice, orange juice, Aperol, and simple syrup.
2. Add ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
3. Strain into a champagne flute.
4. Top with chilled Prosecco or champagne.
5. Garnish with an orange twist.
