“I was not creating the rosé to sell,” Releford-Gould said in a TikTok video. “This was just something I wanted to be able to give to my guests to have at my dinner parties after giving birth. So I actually did not try this until after I gave birth—and it was so good!”

“I don’t like anything that tastes like juice,” she said. “I don’t like anything too sweet. How Is Rosé Made?

Even though she’s not a professional winemaker, Releford-Gould was deeply involved in shaping the flavor profile of Lucky Girl Rosé—and she knew exactly what she wanted. “The honest-to-goodness truth is that I am not a wine maker, and I am definitely not a wine making expert,” she admitted in her TikTok. “But I am a rosé expert, and I love rosé!”

That passion led her to collaborate closely with the winemaking team at her family’s estate, Casa Loche—a rare property that functions as both a vineyard and a winery. “I told our wine maker that I needed something zero carb, zero sugar, a little on the drier side, while also being fruity and natural,” she said. “Basically, how you get to zero carb, zero sugar is that you over-ferment the wine. It turns any existing carbs or sugars into alcohol.”

The result? A crisp, 14% ABV wine with vibrant tasting notes of candied cherry, strawberries, wildflowers, and rhubarb. “If the phrase ‘I’m just a girl’ were a bottle of wine, it would be Lucky Girl Rosé,” she joked.

What started as a passion project quickly became something more. Without traditional marketing or mass distribution, Lucky Girl Rosé is growing through word-of-mouth and the kind of community-building that feels effortless when the product speaks for itself.
