Fruity and Citrus-Flavored Combinations That Mix Well With Tequila

As one of the most versatile spirits, tequila can be mixed with almost anything. We all know about the classic margaritas or a tequila sunrise, but pairing tequila with different flavors can give you an elevated and new experience. Whether you prefer a crisp blanco, the sweet caramel flavor of añejo or the rich vanilla of a mezcal, there’s nothing like that tequila flavor mixed with your favorite drinks and syrups.

Different from vodka, rum, whiskey or gin, tequila has an earthier, slightly sweeter and crisper taste. Tequila often pairs the best with citrus flavors, with a lime or lemon wedge often paired with a tequila shot.

Whether you’re looking for a drink for your next date night, party, game night, dinner or event, there are so many tequila combinations to experiment with. For some bartending inspo, here’s what mixes well with tequila for the most delicious cocktails.
