If you’re a fan of the NFL, or of R&B music, you may already be familiar with one of pop culture’s biggest power couples. Quarterback Russell Wilson and singer-songwriter Ciara have been together for over a decade now, drawing attention from fans all across the globe. Though the two have high-intensity careers which require them to spend plenty of days on the road, they’ve managed to foster a life together which includes an expansive real estate portfolio.

Wilson’s home base has generally been determined by the team he’s playing for, so fans were obviously intrigued when it was announced that he’d signed a one-year, $10.5 million contract with the New York Giants in March of 2025. With this news, it’s likely that the pair will be relocating to a full-time residence in the Big Apple, though not much is known about their impending move just yet. Either way, now seems like as good a time as any to investigate their previous residences, and see what we can learn about Russell Wilson and Ciara’s buying habits.

Though most of the properties outlined in this write-up were purchased by the couple as a shared unit, both Ciara and her husband have owned multiple homes before merging their union in 2016. For starters, Ciara purchased a condo in Atlanta shortly after she broke big on the music scene back in 2006. The condo, which she bought for just under $700,000, served as her base of operations for nearly 10 years, as she continued touring across the world and releasing hit records. Once she and Wilson agreed to buy a lakefront mansion together in 2015, The Jasmine Brand reports that she let the bachelorette pad go for a slight loss of just $520,000. Since then, the couple have also purchased an array of properties including those in Los Angeles, California and in Mexico.

2015 Was a Big Home-Buying Year

After dating for a few years, Russell Wilson and Ciara seemed ready to take a few major steps in their relationship. The duo got engaged and began planning a wedding in 2015, also purchasing two of their largest and most impressive properties to date. The first was a parcel of land in Bellevue, Washington, just outside of Seattle, which the couple scored for a whopping $13 million. Since Wilson was playing for the Seahawks at the time, it made perfect sense to set up shop with a sprawling 1.9 acre property, which offered 270 feet of direct access to the gorgeous Lake Washington. Wilson’s team added a dock and a gazebo to their private section of the beach, and updated the six-bedroom mansion with a home theater, a soundproof recording booth and a fully stocked gym. In 2019, the couple doubled up on their investment by dropping another $13 million on a neighboring slice of land, before expanding their property in kind.

Also in 2015, the duo bought a stunning 8-acre home in San Diego, California, which they still own to this very day. The land, which was once utilized as a massive horse farm, was renovated to include a full football field, which Russell Wilson famously used to practice with his teammates. In the center of the field, where a team’s logo would normally be emblazoned, Wilson opted to have his “RW3” logo painted, as a humorous nod to his love of the game. Beyond the football field, the estate contains a line of imported palm trees, inviting water fixtures and a massive stone driveway. Though Wilson has never played for a California-based team, he clearly has a lot of love for the neighborhood, as he continues to spend his off-seasons there whenever possible. The San Diego property has never been Wilson and Ciara’s full-time residence, but the duo have repeatedly referred to the estate as their home away from home in interviews.

Does Russell Wilson Still Own a Home in Seattle?

After Wilson was traded to the Denver Broncos for the 2022 season, he and Ciara agreed to list their massive Lake Washington home for sale at $36 million. Eventually, the couple determined that they would need to split the two parcels of land and sell them separately in order to find the right buyer, and ultimately wound up letting both pieces go for a combined total of $31 million. While they took a loss of over $3 million on one plot, the Wilsons managed to move the second portion for more than $8 million over their original purchasing price, meaning they still made a pretty penny on their investment.

While playing with the Broncos, Russel Wilson picked up a home in the Cherry Hills Village neighborhood of Denver for roughly $25 million. Like his other properties, this mansion offered plenty of space for him and his family to sprawl out, host parties and enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation. The Denver home contained 12 total bathrooms, a 9 car garage and an entire one-bed one-bath guest house off to the side of the property. The home also touted such high-end luxuries as a full basketball court, home theater with a projector screen and an indoor pool flanked by stone fixtures and a cozy fireplace. Though the Denver home was seen as a massive investment, and even reportedly set the record for most expensive residential property in the surrounding area, Wilson ultimately sold the property at a $3.5 million loss after playing for the Broncos for just one year. Rumors suggested that Wilson and Ciara were considering buying a Pittsburgh home after his trade to the Steelers, though there’s been no confirmation of any major purchase.

Did Russell Wilson Buy His Mom a House?

Like many professional football players, Russell Wilson wasn’t content to hoard his wealth once he made it big. After earning millions of dollars on the field, he decided to repay his mother, Tammy Wilson, for all her hard work, by purchasing a brand new home as a Mother’s Day gift. While we don’t have a lot of information regarding the location or sale price of the home, we can rest assured that Wilson’s mother is well taken care of. If his taste in gifts is anything like his taste in his own living accommodations, Tammy will be living in a lavish mansion with plenty of space and high-end amenities for the foreseeable future.

For the time being, there’s no up-to-date information on Ciara and Russell Wilson’s living situation. Per the Mar. 26 announcement that Wilson is playing with the New York Giants this year, we can assume that the couple are house shopping in either the Meadowlands of New Jersey or the metropolitan hub of Manhattan. By the time the 2025 NFL season begins, we may have some fresh information regarding the next multi-million dollar development headed by the power couple.
