Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020, Jalen Hurts is an NFL quarterback who is known for his proficiency on the field. Hurts was a second-round draft pick who signed a four-year, $6 million contract with the east coast team. However, the Eagles quarterback would go on to become the highest-paid NFL player in 2023 after signing a five-year, $255 million contract extension. Hurts was already known as one of the more humble football players both on and off the field. Although with an increase in annual salary, it’s fair to wonder about the details of his investments. Where does Jalen Hurts live? Here’s what we know.
NFL Draft Pick and Renter
While it’s been reported that Hurts is renting a luxury apartment in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, a less-than-20-minute drive from Philadelphia, photos of the living space have not been released. Hurts has also said that, upon entering the league, he did not feel the need to purchase a home.
“I didn’t buy a house or anything like that when I got drafted because it was just me,” Hurts said. “I didn’t need this big place just for myself. I just got me a little apartment. You know, something smooth that’ll last me for the time being.”
However, it wouldn’t be long before Hurts purchased a luxury home.
From Part-Time Texan To Owner of Four Properties
In 2020, Hurts bought a $215,000 home in Houston, Texas, with his parents. The 2,350-square-foot-home features three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, and an updated kitchen with granite countertops, white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. Guests can also enjoy his gaming room and a two-car garage.
The next year, he purchased a mansion for $6 million. Constructed in the 1950s, the 6,000-square-foot mansion with a brick facade and classical design boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms and a swimming pool on 10 acres of land.
And he knows his neighbors, considering he bought the home next door for $2.68 million.
His fourth property is in Houston, Texas, which he purchased for $500,000 (under his mother’s name) in 2023. It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and is just over 3,000 square feet of living space on an 8,555-square-foot piece of land.
Jalen Hurts Has Also Gotten Engaged In 2024
Both Hurts and his fiancée, Bry Burrows, attended the University of Alabama where they dated on and off until confirming their relationship in 2023. Hurts, a member of Omega Psi Phi, confirmed he’s always known Burrows, an Alpha Kappa, was the one despite only recently confirming that they were dating ahead of getting engaged. Burrows has been there for many of Hurts’ college and professional career highlights. It has not yet been confirmed that the couple live together nor where they reside primarily.
