At Home & Texture, we’ve always believed that a house becomes a home through the moments shared within its walls. Today, we’re thrilled to announce our latest franchise, “Hosting,” a series dedicated to the rich tapestry of entertaining in the modern age.
For Black and Multicultural Millennials and Gen-Z, hosting is more than just throwing a party—it’s a powerful act of cultural preservation, self-expression, and community building. Whether you’re living in a loft 50 feet above the ground or in a 2500-square-foot suburban home, the ability to open your doors and create memorable experiences is an art form we’re excited to explore and celebrate.

“Hosting” will delve into the nuances of entertaining across various life stages and cultural backgrounds. From the impromptu girls’ nights of your early 20s to the carefully curated dinner parties of your 30s, we’ll examine how our approach to hospitality evolves along with us.
This franchise isn’t just about grand gestures, though. We understand that for many, especially younger renters or first-time homeowners, hosting can feel daunting. That’s why we’ll also focus on accessible entertaining—showing how a thoughtful playlist, a signature cocktail, or even a well-arranged charcuterie board can transform a casual kickback into a special occasion.
Through intimate interviews, personal essays, and evergreen guides, “Hosting” will cover everything from interior design tips to budget-friendly party planning. We’ll even explore how technology is reshaping modern gatherings and how TikTok has the girls empowered to fully step into their hosting era.
Most importantly, we want to emphasize that hosting is about fostering connections. In an age where digital interactions can overshadow face-to-face meetings, the act of bringing people together in your personal space is revolutionary.
This series of content is a digital love letter to every friend, aunt, and grandma who opened their arms and their homes for the people in their lives to eat, drink, and be. We hope you feel inspired by the beautiful possibilities that unfold when we open our homes and hearts to others
