Sei Less, a downtown Manhattan restaurant known for its buzzy, see-and-be-seen energy, is no stranger to a moment. In honor of Women’s History Month, the Asian-fusion hotspot teamed up with actress and media personality La La Anthony for a limited-edition signature dish: the “La La Lo Mein.”

More than a quick menu cameo, the bowl channels La La’s personal cravings and the restaurant’s bold, celebratory style. Co-developed with chef Allen Ma, it starts with the familiar comfort of lo mein, then pushes it somewhere brighter and more coastal, with sweet heat, glossy seafood richness, and produce-forward pops that keep each bite lively.
The best part is the short window. Available now through Mother’s Day Weekend, La La Lo Mein turns a seasonal collaboration into a real reason to book a table, especially if you want to catch it while it’s still a “right now” moment.

When I visited, the kitchen sent out a few dishes to sample, but I kicked things off with a lychee martini. Lightly floral and citrusy, it set the tone for a meal that leaned playful, polished, and just a little indulgent.

Review of the “La La Lo Mein”
The star of the night was unmistakable: La La Lo Mein, a bold, colorful take on the classic comfort dish built around springy noodles tossed with shrimp and lobster. The mix is layered in a way that keeps you chasing the next forkful, with bright pops of pineapple and pumpkin, the sweetness of red bell pepper, and the crisp, fresh snap of baby bok choy. Everything gets pulled together by La La’s own secret sauce, which ties the seafood richness to the sweeter, vibrant notes.

I kept circling back to the lychee martini alongside it, and the pairing made sense from the first sip. The drink’s floral fruitiness played up the dish’s sweet heat and helped cut through the glossy, buttery depth of the seafood, making the whole experience feel balanced rather than over-the-top.
La La Lo Mein is available at Sei Less now and will be offered exclusively through Mother’s Day Weekend, so if it’s on your list, it’s one to prioritize sooner rather than later.
