At Home & Texture, we believe a home becomes more than just a place to live when it tells a story—of culture, history, and personal heritage. With that in mind, I’m thrilled to introduce our newest franchise, The Art of Home, where we’ll explore how art, both modern and historic, can elevate a space with meaning.

This franchise is about more than just decor. It’s about how the pieces we choose—whether a painting passed down through generations or a sculpture by a local artisan—speak to who we are and where we come from. Art has the power to ground us in our heritage while also shaping the way we experience our homes daily. As we celebrate National Arts & Humanities Month this October, we’re proud to focus on artwork, craftsmanship, and creations that pay homage to cultural traditions and contemporary creativity alike.

Throughout The Art of Home, we’ll feature profiles of Black artists whose work bridges the gap between past and present. We’ll showcase statement pieces that tell stories of resilience, history, and innovation—offering a glimpse into how art can be more than just decoration but a true reflection of identity and culture.

Through thoughtful storytelling, personal reflections, and curated selections, this franchise invites you to explore the profound impact that heritage-inspired art can have on a home. We hope to inspire you to find those pieces that not only elevate your space but also connect you to something deeper.

In every brushstroke, woven thread, or hand-crafted object, there’s a legacy waiting to be shared. We can’t wait to show you how art transforms a house into a home full of history and heart.
