Rapper, streamer and Internet personality DDG has snagged plenty of headlines in recent weeks. His on-again off-again romance with actress Halle Bailey has sparked a flurry of pop culture discussion, while his “Hit-A-Thon” streaming event brought in millions of viewers from around the globe. For those unfamiliar, the series was a seven-day streaming venture that saw the performer hunkering down in his home studio and producing a variety of songs live in front of the camera. Along the way, DDG also brought in a series of high-profile guests, including Ty Dolla $ign, DaBaby and Shaboozey.
Since the Hit-A-Thon sessions were streamed entirely from the social media star’s private home, many fans have begun to wonder exactly what DDG’s real estate portfolio looks like. Since the official album arrived on DSPs this past weekend, now seems like the perfect time to take a closer look at where it all came together.
DDG Has Roots in Los Angeles
Long before he was raking in millions of views per month, DDG was born to a humble family in Pontiac, Michigan. He took an early interest in music after seeing his father tinker with the boards as an audio engineer, and spent much of his youth enraptured by the sounds of local Detroit legends. While speaking to Mixtape Madness in 2022, the rapper stated “I grew up in Michigan – I’ve always been around music. My dad used to be an engineer for local artists so we had a home studio and stuff so I could go there and work on shit – but I really just focused on school and stuff. I was very educated – it was always a very competitive thing for me. I always wanted to have the best grades so I took school very seriously.”
When his social media career first kicked into gear, the “Givenchy” vocalist was staying close to home, attending Central Michigan University. Despite his excellent grades, he ultimately dropped out of college when his viral success took off into the stratosphere, and eventually high-tailed it to Hollywood to get closer to the beating heart of the entertainment industry. He explained the details of this journey during a conversation with Nick Cannon on Power 106 Los Angeles.
There’s little information available about the specific homes DDG has purchased in the years since his pilgrimage to the West Coast. For now, we don’t know much about the exact neighborhoods he has lived in, nor the total square footage and purchasing price of his properties. Luckily, we do have some insight into the architecture and design of DDG’s Los Angeles mansions, as they are frequently explored through his web content. Specifically, the aptly-titled DDG Mansion has served as a home base for the rapper since the early days of his streaming success, right up until the streamer downsized to a smaller home in January 2025.
Exploring the DDG Mansion
The DDG mansion is jam-packed with the expensive, high-end, yet fun-loving features that fans have come to expect from the rapper. Upon first glance, the black accent pieces, updated kitchen appliances and stunning white marble floors offer an air of excellence to the ritzy abode. Upon further reflection, you’ll find hand-painted lettering on the walls of many rooms, outlining some key features in humorous fashion. These bold texts include “‘Kitchen’ I don’t cook C. Time to eat” and “‘Bedroom’ where the magic happens C. late night.” A full streaming suite with a high-end PC setup can be found downstairs, along with a sunlit dining area and sitting room. The sitting room boasts a platinum plaque for DDG’s hit single “Moonwalking in Calabasas” as a wall-mounted centerpiece. A massive, bright red horse statue can also be seen in the room, matching perfectly with the intense red curtains.
Upstairs, DDG’s home boasts a huge master bedroom with its own fireplace and a sprawling walk-in closet. The master bathroom features an all-marble finish with a soaking tub, standing shower, and tons of storage space. Rather than a traditional railing, the stairs boast glass paneling which extends throughout the entire upstairs portion of the home, providing a labyrinth of hallways centered around energy and movement. Three other bedrooms can be found upstairs, allowing DDG to host his friends, family members and his son, Halo.
In January 2025, DDG revealed that he was departing the home and moving into a smaller house in Hollywood. While the DDG Mansion will no longer serve as his primary base of operations, he won’t be selling it off entirely. Instead, the Epic Records signee explained that he would hand over the keys to his mother and keep some of his belongings in the streaming suite. DDG offered an emotional walkthrough of the property on his official YouTube channel before moving out, marking the end of an era for long-term fans.
Touring Hit-A-Thon Headquarters
Though DDG explained that he would downsize for his future endeavors, his new Los Angeles mansion is still quite impressive. According to an official house tour the social media star provided leading up to the streaming event, he spent a whopping $10 million on the sprawling property. Like his previous home, the new abode boasts tons of natural light, glass fixtures and conversation-sparking decor. When visitors first walk in through the front door, they’re greeted with a sitting area complete with a frame-mounted TV and a fully-stocked wet bar. The area, nicknamed “Club DDG,” also packs a theater-style popcorn machine and room for a full-time bartender. Downstairs, you’ll find a fireplace, dining area and entertainment center, all visible from the open layout. DDG keeps his fridge and pantry stocked with various snacks and beverages, making it ideal for his revolving door of super-star guests.
The “Money Long” singer clearly has a penchant for light-colored accent pieces. Much like his previous mansion, the countertops and surfaces in DDG’s new home are all white marble, with matching cabinets throughout the kitchen. The floors, however, are a light-colored hardwood, likely made from maple or pine. Across from the kitchen island, you’ll find a red brick accent wall, which serves as a backdrop for the rapper’s in-house band. Full drum kits, string sections and electric keyboards can be found in this space, offering a chance for any musically-inclined performers to pick up and play at their whimsy. Of course, the master bedroom has also been outfitted with a full recording studio setup, allowing DDG to perform and record hits from the comfort of his quarters.
Outside, DDG’s new property touts a full in-ground swimming pool and hot tub, as well as an outdoor kitchen perfect for grilling or hosting Summer events. A seating area by the pool also offers a fire pit, and overlooks a lower level with a basketball court. The court has been retrofitted to accommodate a variety of games and activities such as pickleball and tennis. With all these luxury amenities, you’d think DDG might be in danger of being too distracted to complete his work. Luckily, the chat from his livestream has kept him in check and assisted in developing his brand new album “Blame The Chat,” which released on Friday, May 2.
