For starters, it’s given us the ability to make a delicious, healthy meal in half the time it’d take to cook on a traditional stove. But it’s not just the convenience factor that has made the handy appliance so beloved. With a range of capabilities, air fryers are the perfect tool for cooking almost anything.
If you haven’t invested in one yet, now is the time to do so. For weeknight meals, breakfasts, lunches, and desserts, an air fryer won’t steer you wrong. The options are truly endless. However, if you need some inspiration, we’ve got you covered. Ahead, we’ve rounded up five recipes that never disappoint. From a full-fledged dinner to a decadent dessert favorite, these are the air fryer recipes you’ll want to keep on repeat.
Crispy Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts
- 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
Garnish options
- Balsamic glaze
- Maple syrup
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Wash Brussel sprouts, trim ends, and cut in half.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees.
- Add Brussel sprouts to a large bowl and drizzle with EVOO. Then, sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss to coat evenly, then add them to the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 5 minutes, then remove basket and shake lightly.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes. Remove basket and add the sliced garlic, tossing to coat the Brussles sprouts evenly.
- Cook for 2 to 4 additional minutes until Brussels sprouts are crispy .
- Remove and serve hot with desired toppings.
Air Fryer Greek Chicken and Potatoes
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 to 3 medium Yukon Gold potatoes
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 medium lemon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons salt
- Small handful of fresh dill
Instructions
- Grate the cloves of garlic into a medium bowl and add the zest of half the lemon.
- Add chicken thighs, 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, 1 tablespoon of the salt, and the oregano to the bowl. Toss with hands to ensure the rub is added to the chicken.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cut potatoes into wedges and place into a large bowl filled with cool water and let soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees.
- Remove chicken from the refrigerator and place in the basket skin-side down.
- Cook for 10 minutes then flip the thighs over and cook until crispy (about 12-15 minutes).
- Drain the potatoes, pat them dry, and place in a large bowl with the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon kosher salt, and toss to coat.
- Once the chicken is fully cooked, remove it from the basket and add the potatoes in an even layer.
- Cook for 20-25 minutes, tossing the basket in between to ensure they cook evenly.
- Remove potatoes when golden brown and toss with dill and reserved lemon zest.
- Serve chicken and potatoes warm with lemon wedges.
Air Fryer Ranch Onion Rings
Ingredients
- 3 large Vidalia onions
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1 packet ranch dressing and seasoning powder
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Add flour, ranch packet, 1 tablespoon salt, and 1 tablespoon black pepper to a small bowl and mix.
- Add eggs and water to a fresh bowl and whisk until combined.
- Pour breadcrumbs into a separate bowl and mix in remaining salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and mix lightly.
- Peel and slice onions into 1/2 inch thick slices.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees.
- Dip the onions into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, then return to the flour mixture.
- Place a layer of the dredged rings into the basket and cook until browned (about 12-16 minutes).
- Transfer cooked rings to wire rack and sprinkle with salt.
- Serve warm with desired dip.
Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Frank’s RedHot hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cauliflower head cut into florets
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Add hot sauce and olive oil to a large bowl and whisk to combine.
- Add cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss until evenly coated.
- Add flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, and salt to a separate bowl and mix to combine.
- Remove cauliflower from the sauce with a slotted spoon and add to the flour mixture, tossing to coat evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees.
- Place cauliflower florets in an even layer in the basket.
- Cook for 20 minutes until the cauliflower is hot, crispy, and lightly browned, tossing every 5 minutes.
- Serve warm.
Gooey Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups chocolate chunks or chips
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Add butter to the bowl of a stand mixer and let rest until softened.
- Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the bowl and beat until combined and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract, eggs, and salt, then mix to combine.
- Add baking soda and flour in increments, lightly mixing in between.
- Stir in chocolate chunks and walnuts.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees.
- Line fryer racks with parchment paper.
- Scoop balls of dough onto the racks with an even space in between.
- Bake until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Remove cookies from air fryer and allow to cool before serving.
