TikTok is a hub for interior design inspiration. Daily, I find myself scrolling through bookmarking tips and tricks from trusted designers. Whether it be a stitch of industry trends or a quick DIY project, there’s always something and someone new to explore. Enter Cynthia Rojas, a Latina designer in Dallas and creator of the now viral bubblegum room. You may have seen images of Rojas’s work woven into your feed before, but her bubble gum room is one for the books.

In an otherwise plain room, the vibrant pink paint stands out in the best possible way. In this TikTok, Rojas explains that she was tasked with designing a room for a client who isn’t afraid of color. For most people, the statement is a hint of or pops of color sprinkled throughout the room. But Rojas flipped that simple thought on its head and came up with a striking design that displays how a bold shade can make a room stand out.

Vibrancy has been a top design trend for 2025 and doesn’t always refer to splashing a wall with a shocking color of paint. In this instance, Rojas added texture and a poppy hue to create the statement. Her first step was creating a vaulted ceiling, giving the room a unique and cool look. Once the planks were installed, she gave the ceiling a fresh coat of bubblegum pink paint, adding contrast and dimension against the white walls.

Modular Furniture to Set the Vibe

But she didn’t stop there. Given the color choice, the mood of the room is supposed to be lighthearted and playful. So, Rojas and her team brought in a few cozy modular pieces of furniture that fit the vibe. The forest green and mauve seating has a cool bubble-like design that adds to the effect of the room. For the final touch, she added some fun artwork on the walls to help tie everything together.

Rojas is no stranger to creating fun and functional living spaces. Her Dallas-based design studio elevates spaces through decor and cool design techniques. If you haven’t already bookmarked her viral work, you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for what she does next.
