Ruggable has introduced a few spring-ready collections this year, including Italian-inspired and fine art designs. The washable rug brand is no stranger to working with designers and other decor brands, but its latest collaboration with storied print company Sanderson is one for the books. Launched in April, the collection features an assortment of rugs stamped with motifs and prints that have made Sanderson a beloved treasure — think woodland creatures, scenic forests and botanical gardens, and organic colors.
The collection is perfect for giving your home a fresh feel as we move deeper into the spring. It combines Sanderson’s trademark fanciful designs with traditional rug elements. The designs are centered around two main themes, Southern Charm and Woodland Gardens, and feature romantic florals, geometric patterns, and imaginative motifs. Each print was drawn from Sanderson’s archive of designs. “The goal with this collection was to evoke an air of romance, charm, and magic, reflecting Sanderson’s history and embracing the enduring beauty of florals,” notes Sanderson’s design director, Claire Vallis. The delicate print of this rug borrows elements from two of Sanderson's designs to create a serene setting. Combined, the Pamir Garden and Foraging prints feature a scene of a floral forest with antelopes grazing about. The mood is tranquil, and the color palette also reflects that with muted reds and oranges, soft blues, and natural tones.
Everything about this rug screams Sanderson. From the muted rose colors to the geometric pattern and tropical leaves, it's a playful design that doesn't take itself seriously. That said, it makes a nice addition to any room, brightening the mood in a living room or breathing life into an airy kitchen. Sanderson's Squirrel & Hedgehog Fawn Rug merges a classic rug design with a woodland print for a fun take on traditional. The woodland creatures are strategically arranged within a lattice structure to create a portrait-like pattern.
