In his latest project, France gives fans an inside look at creating his dream home. The show entitled Home at Last is a Condé Nast exclusive in collaboration with Vogue and Architectural Digest, two of the brand’s iconic publications. In the show, France documents the house-building and design process of his dream home. In 2021, the designer bought a plot of land, which he’s turned into his dream home.

There’s not an official release date for Home at Last yet, but France teased the show, describing his design style as “bougie grandma” in an interview with People. France is opting for an antique, floral aesthetic, mixing contemporary with old.

France’s inspiration for his home is influenced by his cultural background and upbringing. “It is a mashup of Indian or South Asian and Western, so I don’t know how much you basically can imagine of Indian or South Asian architecture, but it’s very ornate. And so it basically looks like you stepped into a South Asian palace — gorgeous, really colorful, but just so chic,” France reveals to People.

Dream Home for a Growing Family

With a growing family, France and his husband Rob outgrew their Salt Lake City, Utah, home they had been living in since 2017. The couple has two children and welcomed their second son in May. The intention design of their new home has their two young children in mind: Ismail (age 2) and Isaac (newborn). The home will include a playroom for both boys.
