As one of the most influential rappers of his generation and a New Orleans native, Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Michael Carter Jr., has been in the music game for 30 years. Discovered by Birdman in 1993, Wayne became the secret weapon of Young Money Records. And although he represents Louisiana proudly, where does Lil Wayne live now? Read on.

The Grammy award-winning rapper was the owner of an Allison Island home, spanning 10,632 square foot with a waterfront living space. Sitting on 23,760 square feet of land, the outdoor area of the living space holds a private dock, pool, cabana and built-in barbecue grill. Seven bedrooms and a private suite add to the indoor space characterized by walk-in closets, two kitchens, a movie theater, wine room, three-car garage and elevator.

New Orleans Home Listed, Unlisted and Now Sold

The Louisiana native and father of four previously listed his Kenner home for sale in 2011. Located in the suburbs of New Orleans, Wayne asked for close to $2 million. He removed the home listing a year later. The living space was featured in an eight-minute house tour published on his show Weezy’s World. Sold in 2022, this home includes columns at the entryway, a grand staircase, a sauna and a fitness room. It also includes a pool and a movie room. Though this space is seemingly an answer to all of his living space needs, Wayne also owns a home in the state of California. It is located in the suburbs of Los Angeles, in Hidden Hills, California, just outside of Calabasas.

From NOLA to Cali

The part-time Angeleno boasts a dual-toned home with a grand staircase, tall ceilings, a backyard pool and view of the city. Wayne and guests can enjoy a poolside outdoor space, a basketball court and built-in barbecue area. Skylight windows characterize the great rooms lined with floor-to-ceiling windows and bold, black molding throughout. Similar to the Miami Beach property and current Kenner Home, this Hidden Hills house has a movie theater and a wine room. Multiple bedrooms, sauna style bathrooms, a few great rooms and a large kitchen also add to the grandeur of the home. When exiting his long driveway for a trip to Los Angeles, Wayne is just minutes away.
