Before securing her first and most recent home purchase near Los Angeles, Minaj has rented several mansions over the course of her career. One rented mansion, which she shared with her husband Kenneth Petty and son nicknamed Papa Bear, is located in Beverly Hills, California. Worth $9.7 million, Minaj was, at one point, shelling out $39,500 per month in rent for this 7,000-square-foot home. Photos show that the property has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a few entertainment spaces, a pool and a spa. Now she’s the owner of a $19.5 million home in the Hidden Hills.

Neighbors Petitioned Against Nicki Minaj Buying Home Near On Their Block

Since the confirmation of their relationship via social media in 2018, Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, have experienced a fair amount of backlash. The couple married in 2019 and Petty was accused of sexual assault that same year. Minaj’s husband did serve a 4.5-year prison sentence before being put on house arrest, and charged a $55,000 fine, in 2022. That would also be the year that word of Minaj and Petty’s interest in joining the Hidden Hills community, where the Kardashian-Jenners and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith live. The petition received more than 2,000 signatures, on the grounds of Petty being an alleged convicted felon, but was unsuccessful in blocking the couple from moving into the neighborhood.
