“In 1991 I was sleeping in my car, I had $35 to my name, everything I had could fit into two bags,” Steve Harvey wrote in the caption of a YouTube video uploaded in 2019. “I started talking to God about my dreams… Fast forward, out of nowhere I get a call from the Apollo asking me to come on the show,” the entertainer recalled. Back then is when he met D.L. Hughley, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jamie Foxx for the first time – little did the men know just how far their ambition would take them. For Harvey’s part, he went from experiencing homelessness for years in his early 30s to now, living lavishly in Atlanta‘s highest-priced home. He’s currently valued at $200M according to Celebrity Net Worth, so it’s only fitting he lives in a palace built for a king!

In May 2020, the West Virginia native moved into a 34,688-square-foot mansion in Buckhead that’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Steve Harvey paid $15 million for the seven-bedroom, ten-bathroom palace, which was previously owned by Tyler Perry. The director sold the property in 2016 for $17.5M to televangelist David Turner, who lost $2.5M when Harvey took it off his hands.

The Versailles-inspired beauty spans 17 acres overlooking the Chattahoochee River, with both an indoor pool and a 70,000-gallon infinity-edge pool for the Family Feud host and his wife to enjoy. There are multiple quarters for guests and caretakers, plus a two-story library, spa, games room, home gym, wine cellar, movie theater and tennis court. The Harvey clan likely rests well at night knowing they’ve got a state-of-the-art security system, as well as a runway at their home for air travel needs.

While he seems cozy in Buckhead for now, Steve Harvey has previously called Texas and Chicago home. In the latter he owned a 6,500-square-foot spot in Little Elm, located just 25 miles NW of downtown Dallas. Its four bedrooms all have private baths; other amenities include a resort style pool, formal dining room, and four car garage. The same year he bought his ATL palace, the “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” author sold his Texas home for just under $1.1M. In Chi-city, the 67-year-old bought a 5,500-square-foot penthouse on the 88th floor of Trump International in Chicago. He reportedly lived there while filming his daytime talk show but sold the apartment for $7.7M in 2020.
