Four-time Grammy award-winning recording artist SZA has been in the industry for close to 15 years. The Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) singer’s debut album Ctrl became the second longest-charting on the Billboard 200 by a female artist and within the R&B genre. Then, her latest album S.O.S. went six times platinum and spent seven weeks at number one.
Born in St. Louis and raised in New Jersey, the songwriter for Rihanna and Beyonce has built her career in Los Angeles, maintaining a residence within the city as well.
Where does she live now? Here’s what we know.
Where Does SZA Live?
It’s been reported that SZA lives in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles in a three-story home. She was photographed leaving a late dinner with fellow singer-songwriters Lizzo and Kehlani in West Hollywood, which caused fans to wonder if she lives nearby. According to reports, SZA’s home is of a Spanish revival style, featuring deep-toned wooden beams, warm-colored ceramic tiles and carpet flooring. Her kitchen is white with grey-streaked marble countertops and aged detailing. The bedroom is a simple, white theme with an abundance of lighting, dark floors and light grey-colored rug.
It was also reported, in 2015, that Sza owned a condo in the Wilshire corridor of Los Angeles in a coveted, full-service building. The open-concept and fully furnished living space has a modern feel with warm tones of camel and grey. The kitchen is a chef’s dream with the most recent appliances, an office space with a view. Floor to ceiling windows and an overall vibe of retreat add a desirable character to this condo and apartment building sought after by some of Hollywood’s finest.
She’s also spent significant amounts of time in Hawaii, describing it as a place she likes to get lost. A post in her feed featuring herself in a bikini, mirror-pic was captioned with “moved to Hawaii,” dating back to 2020. However, there is no documented one residence associated with the recording artist.
Who Is SZA?
Known to the world as SZA, Solana Imani Rowe was born in St. Louis and grew up in New Jersey. Her mother is Christian, and her father is Muslim. SZA continues to practice Islam to this day. In high school, she took up cheerleading and gymnastics. SZA enrolled into Delaware State University, where she studied marine biology, before dropping out during her last semester of school. In 2011, she crossed paths with Kendrick Lamar before signing with TDE just two years later.
What’s Next for SZA?
She performed the last of her S.O.S. tour shows toward the end of March 2023. With the travels and success linked to the tour and her most recent album, also titled S.O.S., fans are wondering what’s next for the R&B-pop icon.
Since then, SZA has been making appearances, one of the last being for a talent-led interview with fellow gymnast Simon Biles. Her feed also has recent posts of the artist enjoying nature. While we may not always know her local hangouts, she continues to express gratitude to her fans in their own neighborhoods. In fact, she recently bought lunch for the students of Columbia High School from their local pizza spot.
