Melody Bostic Brown is the Associate Vice President of Consumer Media Content at Blavity, Inc. — driving the content strategy for lifestyle brands including Home & Texture, 21Ninety, and Travel Noire.
As part of her role at Blavity, Melody leads innovative editorial franchises and verticals as well as driving affiliate revenue. Prior to joining Blavity, she oversaw global content strategy for Travel + Leisure Co. including orchestrating marketing campaigns around hospitality and vacation experiences as well as reimagining six travel brands to attract new customers and reenergize current audiences. Those efforts earned her MarCom Awards for excellence in brand strategy and content marketing.
Fascinated with storytelling her whole life, Melody previously spent several years in TV News as an Executive Producer at ABC and NBC affiliates. Her time as a journalist includes covering Presidential Elections, Masters Golf Tournament, and winning an Associated Press Award for a news special about legendary singer James Brown.
Along with creating content and storytelling in her workspace, Melody keeps her personal story top of mind — whether it’s traveling to new destinations, tapping into her mixology skills, or binge-watching cooking shows and trending reality TV.
A New York native with deep ties to the South, Melody lives in Orlando with her husband, young daughter, two bonus sons, and energetic Chihuahua.
