Tyler Perry has changed the entertainment and film industry, particularly for up and coming Black talent. From creating movies like Diary of a Mad Black Woman, to the Madea series to his recent Mea Culpa film, Tyler Perry has become a staple in Black households. Not only is he a producer, but he’s starred in and done voice acting for movies like Gone Girl, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and Paw Patrol: The Movie.

The producer and writer even owns his own film studio, where tv shows and movies like Black Panther and The Walking Dead took place. Acting as the sole writer for many of his productions, he’s been met with the success of his shows like Sistas, The Oval and House of Payne.

We know that Tyler Perry has shaped the state of Black entertainment, particularly in Atlanta, but where does he live? With a film studio and his entertainment filming in Georgia, he most likely has properties there, but where else? Let’s take a look at his properties throughout the U.S.

Tyler Perry’s Georgia Properties

Home to where most of his films take place and where his film studio is located, Tyler Perry also has a large mansion in Atlanta, Georgia. With a net worth of over $1.4 billion, Perry has owned multiple properties in the Atlanta area. One of which, he just placed on the market for over $2 million in 2018. The owner who purchased the property just placed the house on the market for over $5 million. The home, which was featured in multiple Tyler Perry projects including Diary of a Mad Black Woman, is over 17,000-square-feet. With six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms, the stunning mansion has a library, tennis court, two prayer gardens, a gym and a home theater.

Purchasing an even larger Georgia estate in 2018, Perry is in the process of building his 35,000-square-foot mansion in Atlanta. The home is very close to Tyler Perry Studios for an easy commute to work, but it also features a large lap pool, an airport runway and possibly a farm for his son.

Tyler Perry’s Other Properties

Along with living in Georgia, Perry also lives in California. In 2004, the Madea movies actor, producer and writer purchased a Beverly Hills villa for $4.3 million. He spent years building the 24,000-square-foot mansion, featuring eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. The actor has also been generous enough to host celebrities and public figures at his home, hosting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Barack Obama and several others. Perry has also owned other California properties, which were sold several years ago.

With Tyler Perry being as famous as he is, it might be obvious why he has properties in California and Georgia, but the actor also has a mansion in Wyoming. While there aren’t many details on this home, we know that he uses it for vacation getaways.

Tyler Perry likes to live lavishly. Along with the Wyoming vacation home, he also has land in the Bahamas for special occasions and vacations. He purchased a White Bay Cay that’s 25 acres and a seven acre island in the Bahamas for over $7 million. Much isn’t known about this property besides the fact that the mansions are built from scratch.
