A living legend and NBA superstar, LeBron James is loved and known worldwide. The 39-year-old Los Angeles Lakers player has also played for the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers. An all-time scorer in NBA history, James has been playing for the Lakers since 2018. From Akron, Ohio, James has made a name for himself in basketball, becoming one of the greatest and well-known players in the world.
Everyone knows of LeBron James and his incredible career as an athlete, but where does the superstar basketball player live? Considering he’s played for multiple times, it’s possible he has properties all over the country. He’s got an incredible NBA roster, but let’s take a look at his real estate roster.
Where Does LeBron James Live?
While LeBron James continues his 20-season career, currently as a small forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, the athlete resides in California. In 2017, while he was still with the Cleveland Cavaliers, James decided to purchase a property in Brentwood (he seemingly knew he’d land in LA at some point). The $23.5 million property features eight bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms, a wine cellar, a home theater, an elevator, an indoor and outdoor gym and a sauna. The 15,846-square-foot property has French oak and marble throughout and stunning views of Los Angeles.
His California Properties
Months after the global pandemic started in 2020, LeBron James purchased a Beverly Hills mansion (talk about doing quarantine in style). He purchased the 13,000-square-foot Spanish-style home for $37 million. Last year, James started the process of building his new dream home, by demolishing his Beverly Hills mansion. The mansion had four bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a tennis court, a pool, multiple fireplaces and a theater. It wouldn’t be a LeBron James home without his trophies, as the home also featured a trophy room. There haven’t been any updates since the demolition of the property in 2023, but we can bet on the fact that his new family home will be gorgeous.
His Miami and Ohio Properties
As a former Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers player, of course, LeBron James has owned properties in both areas. In 2010, the basketball player signed to play for the Miami Heat, which came with the purchase of a $9 million home. The custom three-story contemporary-style home featured gorgeous ocean views, a guest house, a heated pool with a swim-up dock, an entertainment lounge with a pool table, a spa and a gym. The oceanside mansion has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, an elevator, a theater, a library and floor-to-ceiling windows. He put the Miami mansion on the market in 2014, shortly after leaving the Miami Heat to return to Cleveland with the Cavaliers.
LeBron James was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, where he faced challenges growing up. Now, his former childhood home is a symbol of just how far you can make it with hard work and a support system.
LeBron’s first home in Ohio was located in Bath Township, which he purchased in 2003 after being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 30,000-square-foot property is valued at $9.2 million featuring six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, an aquarium, a barber shop, a movie theater and a bowling alley.
